Ode to the Clementine Lime
Last winter we picked citrus in hopes of pops to come. There are a variety of trees at our favorite local grove. Their names sound like characters in a book I'd like to read: Dancy, Amber Sweet, Parson Brown and Satsuma. Clementines were also on our list of hand picked oranges. We sorted and fresh froze the juice with warmer days in mind. We paired some citrus with peach and others with strawberry. The Clementine we combined with lime and my favorite pop of the season was born.
Today, I ate our last Clementine Lime. It was delicious. The sweet and the sour combine to make a refreshing and satisfying pop.
We still have Parson Brown Orange and Peach Valencia Pops left from our summer/early fall menu. I'd love to share a fresh orange pop with you. You really can taste the difference.
